I would say "no", based only on my opinion and my personal brand of "common
sense".
As you have pointed out, the pertinent rules say "same Location" or "same
moving stack", so that is not really helpful for this consideration.
I could find no distinction between a "stack" (pure and simple) and a
"multi-hex stack". That latter phrase is a clumsy way of expressing the
game mechanic IMO, not just in this instance but in others (Platoon
Movement) as well.
All things remaining equal, only a Perry Sez (official, I would hope <g>)
could truly stop a rules lawyer from arguing that a "multi-hex stack" is the
same as a "stack" for this purpose. (It's the argument that "multi-hex" is
an adjective that describes "stack", i.e. whereas a "stack" is not
necessarily a "multi-hex stack", a "multi-hex stack" is *always* a "stack"
and therefore any rule for "stack" also must apply to "multi-hex stack"...
ergo "same moving stack" would apply to all sub-sets of "stack", which would
include "multi-hex stack"... )
I'm not going there, however, and I know that Brian was not either. He was
just pointing out... there is not a clear distinction in this case.
I'll leave it at that, and play it that a Leader must be *both* in the same
Location and the same moving stack for D1F purposes.
