Bummer.

What on earth are you doing reading Chapter G? What makes you think
anything there applies here?

Shallower banks? Less rapidly-moving water? River Nixies pulling the boat
down so that they can munch on the bones of the hapless soldiers?

Why? What does it have to do with what you're doing here?

No, it's saying you're no longer in the Water Obstacle hex because you
bogged in the *land* hex. D8.2: "The Bog effect always takes place in the
Bog hex ...."
>Third, if the GPA becomes Immobilized/Bogged ... where does this happen?
In the land hex. You can't bog *in* a river hex, only in the waterline hex
(which is land).
>In the Water Obstacle Location *or* Beached across the water/land hexside
>the GPA was attempting to cross?
Neither. You can't Bog *in* a Water Obstacle, and the Beached rules are in
a part of the rules folder that you don't need to look in when dealing with
amphibious vehicles in rivers. Is any part of D16.2x referring you to
Chapter G? No. So purge Chapter G from your brain, *you don't need it*.
>Rule D16.23 mentions "waterline hexes"

Well, since it's not defined in the rules or in the Index, you have to
assume that the everyday English definition applies. The edge of the water;
where water meets land. A land hex with water obstacle hexsides.

Again with this "Beached" nonsense. It doesn't apply. IGNORE CHAPTER G.
For that matter, I think you can ignore Chapter E as well; I don't think the
E5.531 reference to "Water Line" is at all the same thing as a "waterline
hex". (The difference in punctuation if nothing else indicates this.)

Yes.

Only when all the passengers get out, *as is clearly stated in D8.1*.
>So, my HS is eliminated??
No!
>If the Passengers
>are not eliminated, do the Passengers become Infantry as per rule E5.531?
No, they're still Passengers, in an immobilised vehicle, in a land hex.
*When* they get out, the vehicle will flip to its wreck side.

I think you're completely mistaken.
Look, if you read rules that don't apply to what you're doing, and try and
apply them any way, you're just begging for trouble. Is it any wonder that
you're confused?
