I think you'll find they were used in export vehicles, notably to Thai
army. You'll find one in ASL action in Siam Sambal J35. There is one at
Bovington museum.

I'm pretty sure you'll find this was the 47mm gun used in the Vickers
Medium
Mk I and II tanks built and used in the late '20s and early '30s. They
didn't see any use during WWII AFAIK, although I've seen a photo of what
look to be Vickers Medium turrets used in the fixed defences of Tobruk
in
1941.
This was a medium velocity weapon. I don't have any actual penetration
data, but I think if you called it a 47 and gave it the Basic TK# of 10
you
wouldn't be far off the mark.
