Hi all
A couple of questions on Kindling and MOLS
1) B25.11, A22.613, A22.611
A side has MOL capability. It is the PFPh and 3 squads and a leader are in
the same Location.
All 3 squads are designated as making a Kindling attempt and the leader
passes his Kindling NTC.
May each of the 3 squads check for a MOL in order to add =2 to the Kindling
DR?
Against unarmoured targets a Fire Group may make only one MOL check dr per
attack (A22.611). However although Kindling is treated as Prep Fire, each
squad makes its own separate Kindling DR (B25.11) so strictly speaking one
could argue that they are not making Kindling attempts as a FG and so
A22.611 would be NA.
2) B25.11
At what point does a player need to designate the squads that are making a
Kindling attempt. In the above case of 3 squads and a leader in the same Loc
in the PFPh, which of the following is correct?
a) Player designates all 3 squads. If the Leader fails the Kindling NTC, all
3 squads are still marked with a Prep Fire counter.
OR
b) Player designates all 3 squads. If the Leader fails the Kindling NTC, the
3 squads may not make a Kindling attempt but are not marked with a Prep Fire
and so may use Prep Fire normally or move in the MPh
OR
c) Leader takes the Kindling NTC. If he passes, the player then designates
which squads will make Kindling attempts and so get marked as having Prep
Fired. If the leader fails the Kindling NTC the 3 squads may not make a
Kindling attempt but are not marked with a Prep Fire and so may use Prep
Fire normally or move in the MPh
TIA for your comments
Cheers
Jon
