Dear Listers,
I'd like to hear your opinion about the correct sequence of Bounding First
Fire/Defensive First Fire/Gun Duel declaration by the Attacker/Defender...
This is how I see it:
a)Attacker expends >= 1MP (i.e. to enter a hex, perform some actions).
b)Defender may declare a DFF attack (D3.3 seems to imply that the Attacker
must wait for any DFF declaration by the Defender before making his own BFF
attack declaration).
c)Attacker may declare a BFF attack based on the MP expenditure made in a)
above. If the Defender declared a DFF attack (as in b) above) this will be
resolved as a Gun Duel (C2.2401)
Do you find this correct? If it is, how you would handle the following
situation?
a) Attacker expends 5MP to ascend a Crest Line.
b) Defender decides to DFF on the 3rd MP spent.
c) At this point the attacker decides to use BFF on its 2nd MP.
1) Does the Attacker resolves its BFF attack before the DFF attack?
2) Is this still a Gun Duel?
3) Have the Attacker/Defender decide their respective actions on each MP
expended? So, for example, Attacker says: "to enter here I pay 5MP"; and
then asks the Defender: "Are you firing on my 1st MP?" and so on for each MP
in the 5MP expenditure? I think that 3) is correct.
Thank you
