I confess I am confused about what you are saying. Are you saying that
it is ok to place a stack of '?' counters underneath a real unit during
setup? I think that A12.12 says you cannot. The q&a was, I think,
addressing that point, since a lone concealment counter is NA per A12.11
(old rules and new rules).

Of course; however, Bruce said that he typically used both a 5/8"
concealment counter (for the vehicle) and a 1/2" concealment counter
(for any infantry with the vehicle). Therefore, it would be obvious when
you see a 5/8" '?' counters on top of a stack that had only one 5/8"
counter and only one 1/2" counter that you must be looking at a gun with
manning crew.

In other words, if you play by Bruce's house rule, you might give away
information that you would not by the normal rules.
