I have no idea what any of this has to do with ASL, but since I hate to see
ignorance rampant, I feel compelled to toss in a couple of comments:

This is a very big assumption. There have been several books published
after Speer's death that challenge many of the things he wrote, most notably
"Albert Speer: His Battle With Truth" by Gitta Sereny. Check out
http://www.english.upenn.edu/~afilreis/Holocaust/speer.html for a review.
You might also like to check out http://www.auschwitz.dk/Speer.htm.
An excellent book (actually books) for learning all about the Nazi regime
and how astonishingly inept it was, and the numerous reasons for that, are
Ian Kershaw's 2-volume biography of Hitler: "Hubris" and "Nemesis".
Definitely eye-opening stuff, and highly recommended to anyone interested in
that topic.
Now, having pointed all that out, I feel compelled to add that (IMO) Nazi
conspiracy theories and the ASLML are *not* compatible topics, and this is
one instance where I wish the moderators of the ASLML had actually stepped
in and pointed this out to Jim.
