Actually, my comment about "Educated in Canada" was not meant as a slam
against Canada, nor against Jim. I am very much aware that the vast majority
of my knowledge about WW II and Politics, history, etc come from personal
reading and study, not from what I learned in school. 

However, I disagree with all of what Jim wrote about the US knowing that the
Japanese were going to attack, sacrificing the fleet, etc. Hogwash - and far
less likely than an intelligence failure - where the info was there in some
form, but the conclusion drawn was that the Japanese would attack at Clark
Field, Manila, etc... 

BTW, I can usually tell an author's nationality by reading his book - so I
agree that all the combatants accounts are biased.
