[ASLML] Who Cares About the ASL Forums?

Greetings, Fellow List-heads.

There is currently a continuing thread on the ASL Forums about the ASLML, of
all things. It contains some commentary about the virtues of moderation,
how to conduct moderation, blah blah blah, and the usual run of ASLML
bashing.

My personal opinion is that there is room for both discourse mediums
(media?) in the ASL Community. People have different preferences, and
should be able to exercise their preferences. (I feel there are *some*
interesting topics on the Forums, but for thought-provoking consideration of
rules, nothing beats the ASLML, baby!)

I was curious whether Listers have similar, reciprocal feelings about the
Forum. Do we, by virtue of being Listers, inherently prefer the ASLML over
any other forum? Is it even a good thing that two separate sources of
information exist, when many times the topics do not overlap? How can an
ASL player keep up?

Just wondering. Ignore this or contemplate it at your leisure.

Regards,
Bruce Bakken
