Yes. The different _reality_ is that the CX unit is _also firing through
the Orchard_. Squad A in this case has a +2 DRM _all by itself_.

Of course. Squad A has +1 (CX), and Squad B has +1 (Orchard).

A7.52 clearly says to take the worst possible case of any member of the FG,
and apply it to the entire FG.

"Worst possible case" is common English usage, not ASL speech code. Once
people learn how to correctly read that sentence, the problem is over.

He is. He is paying the +1 penalty for being CX. And Squad B is paying the
+1 penalty for firing through an Orchard. If Squad B had no DRM, and FGs
with Squad A, Squad B would receive +1 as well (thus advocating a split of
the FG). Likewise, if Squad B had the Hindrance and Squad A had nothing,
Squad A would pay the +1 penalty (thus advocating a split of the FG). Since
they are both paying a +1 DRM, they are already both paying the requisite
penalty and there is no need to penalize them further.

I find this vaguely insulting, because it insinuates if not directly states,
that I have not thought this through. I daresay I've probably thought this
through more than most people reading this post.
