Not necessarily smoke in the "frozen" hex... I should have been more clear.
Just don't forget to use smoke if you need it - perhaps to mask fire from
other enemy positions - or pop smoke just in front of the place you're going
to freeze as a "back up plan" if your freezing tank gets creamed.

OK, Tate makes some good points. Many times use of Ad Fire will be better
than CC.
