[ASLML] Question on the mail server (primarily for admin)

Hi Will,
The current mailing list software doesn't allow users to choose how their
posts will be processed, and the site doesn't allow more than one mailing
list per account, due to the bandwidth needed to run a mailing list.
Now, a second account could be created, but I really don't think it's
necessary.
Besides, I doubt very many ASLers would actually ask for their posts to be
moderated. :-)

Subject: [ASLML] Question on the mail server (primarily for admin)
All,
Since we moved to a new system/server, I was wondering how hard it would be
to setup two versions of the same mailing list? Can we send messages to the
sever like normal, but have the server check the recipient's preferences and
either:
1. Send the mail to the recipient immediately with no moderation. (old
style)
2. Await moderation if requested by the end user. (new style)
For me, I would be able to read every post and discussion if I chose to, but
others could enjoy the list in their own way.
I have no idea how hard that would be, but if possible, it may be a nice
solution so those who desire moderation and those who don't can enjoy the
same lists and discussions.
Will
