those goofy, end of the gully hexes. Can the crest marker be placed so as
to cover the B4, B5 and C(offboard) hexsides?

Yes, don't see any reason why not.

> 2. Also, in dE2 there are the following units not yet in melee, Berserk
German 247, Berserk Russian 426 and Disrupted/DM Russian 226. Assuming no
other KEU,. what are the rout options, if any, for the 226. I've been
reading and re-reading A19.12 A20.21 and can't make heads or tails of it.

Since the units are not in melee, the disrupted 226 should attempt rout. It
does not surrender because the German unit is not Good Order (berserk).
A19.12 says disrupted units do not rout unless in open ground, water
obstacle or if ADJACENT to armed enemy units that are in
melee/berserk/vehicular. There is an old Q&A (see Sam Belcher's site at
http://www.dicetower.com/PerrySez/PerrySezChapA.htm) which says a Location
is ADJACENT to itself (I'm surprised this isn't in the ASLRB 2nd ed.), so
this rule would seem to apply. In other words, I would consider the presence
of the Berserk 247 in the same Location to qualify the 226 for routing.
Given that, the 226 should be able to rout into D1, E1 or F2 initially but
would have to continue routing since it would still be ADJACENT to the
unbroken and armed 247.
