[ASLML] Unarmed units as sniper targets

Ah, my bad in the original response...
I've copied the pertinent sections from the original post:
"German Sniper is in an empty hex. All adjacent hexes are also empty. At
two hex range there is a woods Location containing a German HS and two
unarmed Russian squads (these had been prisoners but were abandoned; the
German HS has not attempted to recapture them). At three hex range there is
a concealed Russian squad in a stone building."
Since the Unarmed units are Russian (i.e. controlled by the Russian player),
I would say they are the nearest eligible targets for the German sniper.
(Which is what I believe David contends, and Bruce P. concurs with...)
Sorry about the mixed messages... :-)
