Hey all,
Check out the discussion below. I think i might be wrong but i wouldnt mind
another opinion.
Yes you can not count your own hex as a nonsearchable hex. However if u
only end up with one hex that can be searched it must be your own first. As
well if the dr is more than the # of hexes available to search(7), then u
cant even successfully search your own hex. Could be quite a big issue in
PTO? What do u think?

=Brad,
=The way I understand it is that the dr is the # of non searchable hexes
after the dr.
=*Yes, this is my understanding too.
=Your hex still counts against the # of searchable hexes you have been
given.
=*I don't think so. There is a Q&A about that:
=*A12.152 May a unit Search its own hex?
=*A. A Search automatically includes its own hex. Moreover, the Searcher's
hex cannot be counted =*as a hex that may not be Searched. {26-1}
=*It's clear: "The searcher's hex cannot be counted as a hex that may not be
searched" The hexes =*that cannot be searched are determined by a dr, that
does not include the searcher's hex.
=So if you can only search one hex it must be your own first. I could be
out to lunch on this one =though.
=*If you want, we may place a question about this to the ASLML
=*Cheers,
=*M
