Certainly it does seem like a number of people have drifted away from the
ASLML over the years, some undoubtedly because of the types of flame wars,
etc. that spring up from time to time or simply because they don't like one
or more of the frequent posters. But looking over some posts I've saved from
the past, there are a number who were actively posting even just a year ago
that don't seem to be around now. I wonder how many of those disappeared
more because of the unreliability of the server in the last year or so,
which made it hard to sustain any interesting discussions. If many did,
hopefully with a bit of time they'll start to return as the current server
continues to demonstrate its reliability, moderation issues aside. I hope
so, as I still prefer the ASLML format to the other options.
